Just Released—New D&B State Business Registrations Data Source Provides Unique Insight into Private Businesses

WealthEngine is pleased to announce it has significantly expanded its database with the addition of more than 63 million state business registrations from Dun & Bradstreet. This represents the largest available collection of information on public and private companies as well as the individuals who own and operate them.

The state business registrations database covers all 50 states and is updated daily. Filings come directly from Government filing offices via automated feeds and include any status changes and amendments to the business registration to ensure data timeliness and accuracy.

Now integrated into FindWealth Online and FindWealth Review, research professionals will find:

Expanding Foundation Search

We have replaced the Foundation Center widgets in our FindWealth Online product with our own design, which allows clients to search both private foundations and non-profits. Foundation searches may be conducted by organization name, geographic area, total assets, or the National Taxonomy of Exempt Entities (NTEE) code which is used to classify non-profits. Both the National Center for Charitable Statistics and the IRS use these codes to label and group grants and grant recipients.

WealthEngine's searching capabilities by NTEE code make it easy to focus on a certain area by narrowing in on a specific group of non-profits or foundations. Some code examples include groupings such as, "Arts, Culture and Humanities," "Civil Rights, Social Action, Advocacy," "Educational institutions and Related Activities," "Medical Research," "Religion-Related, Spiritual Development," and "Youth Development."

These detailed search results include comprehensive information about the organization as well as any board members or officers provided by Guidestar. These officer records include the name, title and years a person has served as an officer. Simply click on their name and you will be directed to a full detailed profile on that individual. We have also made it easy to see the filing information, with a direct link to view the actual 990 filed by the organization.
