WebExpress—Make Your Screening Immediately Actionable
Routine screening through our WebExpress product is growing at record levels as more organizations take advantage of its rapid response, actionable batch screening capability. It’s fast and easy with the results delivered right in your FindWealth Online History section. Many clients are finding new and interesting uses for ongoing screenings:
- Special event registrants—determine who your key staff and VIPs should be talking to prior to the event. With golf tournaments, galas, and other fundraisers in full swing this spring, it’s an opportune time to know who to cultivate.
- New constituents—reunion classes and parents of new students (education and camps), patients (healthcare), patrons (museums and arts), new board members and volunteers can be screened on a routine schedule based on your needs; daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly.
Clients are finding that screening actionable batches of donors and/or prospects allows them to move people into the fundraising pipeline faster.

Leveraging Advanced Search
Are you using FindWealth Online to its fullest capacity? Not if you are only using Simple Search.
Advanced Search is a key tool for prospect research using FindWealth Online, with several strategic benefits:
- By using the Advanced Search, your prospect’s name and address will go through 30 data sources, resulting in a detailed wealth profile
- Each time you create an Advanced Report, it will be stored in the History Section of your FindWealth Online which will allow you to review your searches anytime
- You are able to validate and clean-up your Advanced Search results in the History Section by clicking on the red X in each of the data sources that your prospect matched to during the search
Tips on how to use the Advanced Search feature:
- If you already have your prospect’s mailing address, begin your search by selecting the Advanced link; from there you can complete the optional fields in the Advanced Search form.
- If you want to review or modify previous Advanced Searches, go to the History Section, search for the prospect and click on their last name.
- Click on the "Benefits of using the Simple and Advanced Search" video to get a true understanding of these features in the FindWealth Online Help Section.

Our latest partnership is with donor.com's DASCO product. DASCO provides virtually limitless profiling of donors: special lists, flags, supplemental, "turbo" profiling all allow you to not only track a donor's profile, but to communicate with them according to their interests and preferences. Add to the "Power of the Crowd": Upload Annual Reports
Today WealthEngine’s Donations Database currently contains more than 23 million individual donation records with over a million new records being added each month. We know that the predictive nature of past giving is critically important to our clients; we are accelerating the development of our charitable giving database.
You can help through our crowdsourcing initiative. Just log into FindWealth Online and use the upload tool to send us all of the annual report PDFs you have saved. You may also send us hardcopies of annual reports via UPS and we will pay for the shipping, simply contact Customer Service at (301) 215-5980, option 3.
Staff Profile: Cheryl Wilmer, WealthEngine Product Trainer
When you take a training course on WealthEngine's products, chances are Cheryl Wilmer will be your trainer. Having joined WealthEngine last year, she has quickly become an integral part of our training team—conducting the "how to" webinars and developing key product documentation to help users maximize their research.
"I'll always be a prospect researcher at heart," says Cheryl. "It's just part of my nature to want to dig deeper to find data that guides a cultivation approach. It's not only smart prospecting; it's a necessity in today's competitive world of fundraising." Her trainer role fits her well as she used WealthEngine’s products for 8 years while at United Negro College Fund and the American Red Cross. At the United Negro College Fund she managed donor research and established prospect management guidelines for the national office. During her 7 years with the American Red Cross, she served as a major gift officer and senior research analyst focused on disaster relief. Cheryl began her nonprofit career at the American Institute of Architects conducting legislative research and managing event planning for their board of trustees and the national conference.
"I come to work every day looking forward to assisting our clients with a more direct approach to identifying, cultivating and soliciting their prospects," says Cheryl, "When prospect research is done right it can be a key ingredient to boosting donor contributions and creating targeted prospect pipelines. Our research tools have an enormous amount of power and I love sharing the tools that can make research more turnkey (and ultimately successful) for users."
Cheryl is a member of APRA National, APRA DC and AFP. Her undergraduate degree is in Public Policy from the University of Maryland and she received her MPA in Public Administration from the University of Phoenix in 2006. In her free time, Cheryl likes to spend time with her family and friends.
