We’re thrilled to be migrating FindWealth Online clients over to our new FindWealth 8 platform. As new features become ready, we are alerting clients who use those features that FindWealth 8 is now available. If you have not yet been contacted, your welcome notice will be coming within the next few weeks to months based on your usage needs. Meanwhile, here is one feature that is truly heads and tails above any other service in the market—FindWealth 8’s smart address search logic.
FindWealth 8 offers address searching in two forms: directly within the new search interface or through DataQuick’s PropertyFinder. The benefit of WealthEngine’s new search logic allows you to research real estate data using a full or partial address.
Now that spring is here and you find yourselves busy planning for upcoming events and special galas, we hope you will better utilize your subscription to FindWealth Online and maximize your fundraising potential. There is no time like the present to jump in and learn a new trick or two in FindWealth Online.
Which Is the Better Investment?
We all know that acquisition is something we must do. In fact, according to AFP’s 2011 Fundraising Effectiveness Project (FEP) Report, 59% of donors do not renew their gifts to the average charity. In order to raise the same amount as last year, then, each charity must acquire new donors to make up for those no longer donating.
WealthEngine clients have the unique opportunity to transition from FindWealth Online to the new FindWealth 8 platform at no additional cost to their existing subscription. This means that you can take advantage of the latest technology for prospect research as soon as you are ready to make the move. Those clients using a select subset of FindWealth Online features (daily WebExpress screening, Access Manager, etc.) will be advised as soon as FindWealth 8 incorporates all of these advanced features. The Client Service team is currently notifying clients by email that they can begin using FindWealth 8 and are sharing training and support materials to ensure a smooth, well-informed transition.
The Person Search is at the heart of WealthEngine’s prospect research solutions and is the first step when using FindWealth 8. Sure, it enables you to search for information on your prospect, by entering specific information such as name, city and state for a complete individual wealth profile. But the real magic comes from the simplicity of the search—you can be as specific or as generic as the information you have allows—enter partial names, a generic geographic area and let our robust master file uncover all available information on your prospect. Then, after the search is run, use it to build a cultivation strategy and appropriately target new individuals for major gifts, planned giving or the annual fund.
Included in your FindWealth Online subscription is a link to an additional real estate source known as DataQuick. Within the tool you have the ability to conduct broad nationwide or narrowly refined searches and it allows you to easily search by a prospect’s name, address or both. Searches provide ownership information, property profiles, neighborhood comparables, property history, loan information and the like. Unlike LexisNexis real estate, which WealthEngine also uses, DataQuick only provides you with currently held real estate holdings and not historical records.
Are you looking for ways to leverage your organization’s VIP’s in your fundraising efforts? Did you know that WealthEngine has a tool that can help you uncover unknown relationships between your prospects and VIP’s? Both the Circle of Friends and Inner Circle lists can help you make new connections for any and all of your development efforts. Here are the steps to get started:
Review key ratings and scores that can help you determine the right approach for each donor or prospect.
When submitting an input file for a screening it’s helpful to include additional data from your organization’s Donor Management System (DMS) so you can leverage giving history and other telling attributes for strong fundraising results.
WealthEngine continues to build its collection of charitable donations each month including charitable gifts, Federal Election Contributions and State Political Donation records. The database is one of the largest, most current charitable donations databases in the country, with more than 54 million records. Remarkably, some giving data traces back to 1871, however, the majority of these records cover more recent years with a focus on larger, more meaningful donations that can help inform cultivation strategy and ask amounts.
