Alumni Relations Events Assistant, University of Bath

The University of Bath, one of the UK's leading universities, is looking to recruit an Events Assistant as part of an expansion in its Development & Alumni Relations team.  Reporting to the Events Officer, you will play a key role in planning and coordinating the comprehensive programme of events offered as part of the University’s Alumni Relations programme.

Responsibilities will include assisting the Events Officer and other members of staff in the delivery of events, helping with all logistical arrangements, providing administrative support to the Events Officer and the Alumni Relations team, responding quickly in a helpful manner to queries from alumni, helping alumni to link-up with each other through email and letter forwarding.

The post-holder will also be expected to assist with mailings, maintain the alumni database and update the events portion of the alumni website.
Engagement with alumni and other stakeholders at events is a key part of the role.

The successful applicant will be resourceful, proactive and reliable. You will possess exceptional capacity for accuracy and attention to detail, and be able to keep a cool head under pressure and think on your feet.

Experience working in events is essential, as are very strong IT skills including familiarity with advanced functions of MS Excel and MS Word.

The post-holder will be expected to attend events during the evening and at weekends, both in Bath and London.
